Global Warming Monster Confirmed: Senator Can “feel global warming when I fly”

The end is near.  Well, even if its not, many are certain that they can ‘feel’ the end of the world (due, no doubt, to human caused global warming) in their bones.

Despite Michigan polling that Global Warming isn’t even in the public’s top-ten list of problems, Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow says she can feel it in her bones:

Climate change is very real,” she confessed as she embraced cap and trade’s massive tax increase on Michigan industry — at the same time claiming, against all the evidence, that it would not lead to an increase in manufacturing costs or energy prices. “Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I’m flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes.”

Ah huh.  I don’t feel anything, but the scent of bullshit is all around this issue.

this is effing hysterical. just found this site. love it.

Global Warming is All About Politics Part 2

While last time, we pointed out that over a third are influenced in their political choice by the Environment.  This time we have the Watertown Daily Times telling us to “Combat global warming with new leadership”.

Yep.  We apparently need a New Direction.  We need to hope for change and hope.  And we need to do it because of Global Warming.

From Maire T. Zakrzewski of the Watertown Daily Times:

A recent congressional hearing was concerned with emission standards of motor vehicles. The hearing was precipitated by the application of California for permission to enforce stricter controls than the ones stipulated by the federal government. It is hard to believe the extent of willful manipulation of facts and regulations that our current administration is engaged in. The permission was denied even though it had been recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency. Nineteen other states are seeking similar exceptions, but the administration is not about to budge.

That’s right, because, you know… you shouldn’t be able to choose what kind of mileage your car gets… The Government should do that for you.  And apparently it would be all better if there was a new leader of the United States.  In fact, this article mentions the current Administration 6 (six) times.  That wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but come on… the entire article is only 5 (five) paragraphs long.

Its a short article, and we have problems with every part of it.  First of all, that first paragraph solely blames the current administration for keeping individual stats from having more strict standards then the entire US.  If this were to happen, manufacturing costs for vehicles would go up and the paperwork alone would be enough to kill a Great White Shark.  And while the government does a lot currently to tell us what we get and what we don’t when it comes to automobiles, We here don’t believe the government should dictate to you what vehicles you should buy or what a manufacture should make.  It is odd that Government is not only this guy’s problem, but also his solution.  Government here is simply the problem.

The administration refuses to follow the law, even law laid down by the Supreme Court. The most ridiculous finding that came out in the hearing was the effort of the administration to insist that the molecules of carbon dioxide are different depending on their source. There you have it, a shocking demonstration of the complete absence of very basic scientific knowledge at the highest levels of our government.

It is odd here how they do not give any links or references.  It is also odd that they seam to think that the Supreme Court is not a separate but equal branch of the government.  Our opinion is:  their opinion that Carbon Dioxide, something that every creature breathes out and every tree breathes in is a pollutant was a bit odd to start with.  If the government can regulate what CO2 a car breaths out, perhaps they should regulate how much CO2 I breathe out or my plants breathe in.  Lastly, he has the audacity to claim “absence of very basic scientific knowledge”.  I wonder if Maire here acknowledges the scientific knowledge of the scientists here or here.  Something tells me that Marie would have a problem with this type of scientific knowledge.

In previous hearings it had become clear that reports containing solid scientific information on global warming had been “corrected” by lawyers. These reports had been provided to the administration by renowned scientists. The lawyers went as far as completely deleting large sections of these reports. Such actions reveal bold political manipulation of scientific data. These reports are then used to mislead unsuspecting citizens and as justification for inaction against global warming.

Ha!  There is a “Scientific Information” card again.  Please refer to my previous paragraph.  As Al Gore would know, this isn’t the only time Scientific Information fell under manipulation to sway citizens.

It is no surprise that there are people who treat global warming as a religion rather than as science that it is. They lack the capacity to understand the facts on which the global warming phenomenon is based. Are we in such a sorry state that we have to admit being illiterate in science? Our administration no doubt belongs to that category.

I would argue Marie, that yes, you are in this category.  Most people who agree that man is causing climate change would also be here.  The moment someone can explain to me how my Chevy Tahoe caused Greenland’s Ice to melt to the point where the Vikings could grow crops there before the ice returned will seal the deal on all my skepticism.

Fortunately we have highly qualified experts, who are ready and willing to dedicate themselves into steering our U.S. ship into the right direction in the battle against global warming. The unfortunate reality is that they have no choice but to wait until there is a change in leadership in Washington.

Ah huh.  Marie here probably still doesn’t agree with the highly qualified experts who don’t agree with her.  And as far as “Steering our U.S. ship into the right direction in the battle against global warming.” goes… If by “battle against global warming” she means “Higher taxes for breathing carbon dioxide”, then Marie… I agree.

Why Force Us When They Can Convince Us To Act

The Year is 1984.  Did you hear the news?  Carbon rations going up. Twenty-five grams next week.

Doubleplus good.

Germany: Carbon Tariffs Are “eco-imperialism”, Joins India

Germany is stepping up to the Skeptic plate now in attacking Carbon Tariffs as eco-imperialism in the French plan for taxing items moved across political boundaries.

From Reuters.com:

Germany called a French idea to slap “carbon tariffs” on products from countries that are not trying to cut greenhouse gases a form of “eco-imperialism” and a direct violation of WTO rules.

The issue of greenhouse tariffs has met bitter opposition from developing countries such as China and India, who count on the developed world to buy their exports as they build their economies in the face of the worst financial crisis in decades.

Matthias Machnig, Germany’s State Secretary for the Environment, told a news briefing on Friday that a French push for Europe to impose carbon tariffs on imports from countries that flout rules on carbon emissions would send the wrong signal to the international community.
“There are two problems — the WTO (World Trade Organization), and the signal would be that this is a new form of eco-imperialism,” Machnig said.

“We are closing our markets for their products, and I don’t think this is a very helpful signal for the international negotiations.”

This comes on the heels of India last week rejecting the “key scientific findings on global warming” from the IPCC and helps highlight how not only people, but nations seam to be waking up from this kook-aid induced acid trip of eco-whoring.

I’m glad Germany is starting to figure it out, as most of Europe is ripe for the picking by the environmentalists.  Most with a Socialist mindset are more apt to fall for this crap, as all you need to tell them is that “it will help the future.”

This misinformed desire to “help” is usually backed up with talk of taxing or punishing people who they deam to be “out of line”.

In America I have talked to many people who would associate themselves as “eco-conscious” as they say that there should be $2.00-$4.00 tax on each gallon of gasoline to push people away from using it.  These same people, under the guise of being “Socially liberal but fiscally conservative” are also the ones who demand larger government in every way possible for most “solutions” to what are conceived as large problems.

Most of the solutions pushed by nations today are no different.  They bost the needs for Larger government, more taxes, and less power by the individual to help push the public away from “hurting the planet” in the long run.  And when I say long run, their threats of “Act now or forever hold your peace” time tables are so far out, there is no way a generation will keep on topic long enough to know if the “fix” actually addressed anything at all.

But then again, when they look at Carbon Dioxide as the only thing affecting the climate (and miss the giant yellow star in our sky), and only propose taxes as a way to fix it, its pretty clear how single minded most Watermelons are.

Watermelons.  That fits nicely.

Green on the outside, Red to the core.

India ‘rejects key scientific findings on global warming’ Vowing Not to Cut Emissions

With the European Union calling for more action by developing countries and the United States working to cram a Cap and Tax bill down American’s throats, India rejects the scientists that act as a shill for Big Green.

From the Financial Times:

India rejected key scientific findings on global warming, while the European Union called for more action by developing states on greenhouse gas emissions.

Jairam Ramesh, the Indian environment minister, accused the developed world of needlessly raising alarm over melting Himalayan glaciers.

He dismissed scientists’ predictions that Himalayan glaciers might disappear within 40 years as a result of global warming.

“We have to get out of the preconceived notion, which is based on western media, and invest our scientific research and other capacities to study Himalayan atmosphere,” he said.

“Science has its limitation. You cannot substitute the knowledge that has been gained by the people living in cold deserts through everyday experience.”

This is a big deal.

For a country to stand up to the Church of Global Warming’s efforts highlights how everyone on the planet is not lost in this nonsense.

As far as “rejected key scientific findings on global warming” goes, I am sure they are referring to the IPCC report and all that (as they don’t actually say) many of the scientists of the IPCC have spoken out about in regards to the hype.

Private Joker: Yes, sir!

COLONEL: Son, all I’ve ever asked of my marines is that they obey my orders as they would the word of God. We are here to help the Eco-Sheep, because inside every hippy there is an American trying to get out. It’s a hardball world, son. We’ve gotta keep our heads until this Green craze blows over.

Private Joker: Aye-aye, sir.

Now, if only we could get those in our country to actually grow a brain.

Europe (or anyone else) shouldn’t be telling us what to do to with our emissions. There isn’t a country on this planet that has done more than the U.S. to reduce carbon emissions, and less specifically, air pollution. So, since we’ve had things in place for well over two decades now, leave us alone!

Al Gore’s Home Town Breaks 132 year coldest July 21 Record

Apparently they didn’t get Gore’s video about Global Warming.

From WHNT 19 News:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Cool weather has broken a previous low temperature for July 21 in Nashville that was set when Rutherford B. Hayes was president.

When the temperature at the National Weather Service station dipped to 58 degrees at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, it wiped out the previous record low for the date of 60 degrees, which was set in 1877.

NWS forecaster Bobby Boyd noted it was the third consecutive morning when Nashville either tied or broke a daily low temperature record.

Temperatures were cool, but did not break records at several Tennessee cities.

Knoxville dropped to 59 degrees Tuesday morning, Chattanooga had 60 degrees, Tri-Cities recorded 58 degrees and Memphis was 69 degrees.

Geologist Ian Plimer: Global Warming is an Environmental Con Trick

Ian Plimer , geologist and professor of mining geology at Adelaide University in Australia, might be Australia’s best-known academic for being skeptical about manmade global warming.

He says Climate Change is climate change is unavoidable, but that humans are not its cause.

From the Vancouver Sun:

It is, of course, not new to have a highly qualified scientist saying that global warming is an entirely natural phenomenon with many precedents in history. Many have made the argument, too, that it is rubbish to contend human behaviour is causing the current climate change. And it has often been well argued that it is totally ridiculous to suppose that changes in human behaviour — cleaning up our act through expensive slight-of-hand taxation tricks — can reverse the trend.

But most of these scientific and academic voices have fallen silent in the face of environmental Jacobinism. Purging humankind of its supposed sins of environmental degradation has become a religion with a fanatical and often intolerant priesthood, especially among the First World urban elites.

But Plimer shows no sign of giving way to this orthodoxy and has just published the latest of his six books and 60 academic papers on the subject of global warming. This book, Heaven and Earth — Global Warming: The Missing Science, draws together much of his previous work. It springs especially from A Short History of Plant Earth, which was based on a decade of radio broadcasts in Australia.

Agreed.  This article also points out one of the biggest ways Gore and company are lieing to us:

While environmentalists for the most part draw their conclusions based on climate information gathered in the last few hundred years, geologists, Plimer says, have a time frame stretching back many thousands of millions of years.

They do this because they know… you look at thie history of the earth…

It has been warmer then it is today far more often then it has been colder.

But if they can convince you otherwise, and tell you its your fault… then they can tax you and control you for it.

EPA Suppresses Report Questioning the Science Behind Global Warming

Investigation ordered by Sen. James Inhofe after the Obama EPA blocks its own report questioning ‘climate change’.

From Fox News.com:

The 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin, pushed back on the prospect of regulating gases like carbon dioxide as a way to reduce global warming. Carlin’s report argued that the information the EPA was using was out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined.

Oh Snap, that doesn’t sound very good for the Church of Global Warming’s efforts.  So why did they say they blocked this research that doesn’t blend with the Church’s efforts?

An EPA official told FOXNews.com on Monday that Carlin, who is an economist — not a scientist — included “no original research” in his report. The official said that Carlin “has not been muzzled in the agency at all,” but stressed that his report was entirely “unsolicited.”

What the crap does “Unsolicited” mean?

“It was something that he did on his own,” the official said. “Though he was not qualified, his manager indulged him and allowed him on agency time to draft up … a set of comments.”

Well, then that’s that right?  They should ignore science… whether it be from an economist or not, because they didn’t ask him for it?  Yea, all the innovations through time were specifically asked for right?

Despite the EPA official’s remarks, Carlin told FOXNews.com on Monday that his boss, National Center for Environmental Economics Director Al McGartland, appeared to be pressured into reassigning him.

Carlin said he doesn’t know whether the White House intervened to suppress his report but claimed it’s clear “they would not be happy about it if they knew about it,” and that McGartland seemed to be feeling pressure from somewhere up the chain of command.

This goes back to what the Church does when a Heretic speaks their blasphemy: SUPRESS THEM.

The Largest Tax Increase In History Clears Test Vote (And Passes Senate)

Giant Global Warming tax passes a Test Vote in the Senate, then CLEARS the House219-212.

From Breitbart.com:

The vote was 217-205 to advance the White House-backed legislation to the floor, and 30 Democrats defected, a reflection of the controversy the bill sparked.

The legislation would impose limits for the first time on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas pollution from power plants, factories and refineries. It also would force a shift from coal and other fossil fuels to renewable and more efficient forms of energy. Supporters and opponents agreed the result would be higher energy costs, but disagreed widely on the impact on consumers.

President Barack Obama has made the measure a top priority of his first yearff in office. The president, along with White House aides and House Democratic leaders, scrambled for the votes to assure passage. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has pledged to get the legislation passed before lawmakers leave on their July 4 vacation.

The Senate has yet to act on the measure, and a major struggle is expected.

Of corse there is going to be a struggle!  Despite Obama saying every scientist agrees (another lie by this president), there are tens of thousands who say it’s not caused by Man and over 700 who disagree with the U.N.’s climate report (13 times the number who authored the 2007 policymaker report).  The News on these heretics may be vastly under-reported but is not hard to find. (here, here, here, here, I could go on forever.)

From the WallStreet journal:

The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. — 13 times the number who authored the U.N.’s 2007 climate summary for policymakers. Joanne Simpson, the world’s first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak “frankly” of her nonbelief. Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a Japanese environmental physical chemist who contributed to a U.N. climate report, dubs man-made warming “the worst scientific scandal in history.” Norway’s Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics, decries it as the “new religion.” A group of 54 noted physicists, led by Princeton’s Will Happer, is demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. (Both Nature and Science magazines have refused to run the physicists’ open letter.)

Those in our government are trying to rahmrod this thing through before anyone has a chance to react to it, which is bad for making law (as they don’t have an oppertunity to actually read the 1,201 page law), but also illustrates just how poor their choice is in relation to what is good for the United States.

This law will force manufactures out of the country and do nothing but tax everyone and create a market for paperwork that says “You are allowed to make energy”.

Then there is the economic impact.  If you were worried about american manuracturing before, this isn’t going to help when they can move their shops overseas and get non-carbon taxed products.  Its like he is TRYING to cause the fall of the United States of America.

Traitor

To quote Bjorn Lomborg:

This is not about making fossil fuels so expensive that we won’t use them, it’s about making green energy so cheap that everyone will want to use them.

Puting people in pain to get your crap to sell is evil no matter what your selling.  And to rahmrod through a tax on people, to force their hand to stop a boogyman that doesn’t even eixst is traitorest.

************Update

The bill actually passed 219-212 in the Senate even though no one who voted for it actually had a chance to read the 1,201 page bill.

If Haste makes Waste, this is probably the largest amount of Waste the government could throw out.  One question though:

Doesn’t this violate the 10th amendment of the US Constitution?

Amendment 10 – Powers of the States and People. Ratified 12/15/1791.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Good post, but I believe that the bill passed the House, not the Senate.

White Roofs Will Save Us All

Stephen Chu, Obama’s climate “mastermind” sugguests that all the world’s roofs should be painted white to reflect more of the sun’s rays back into space.  Kool-Aid man agrees.

Oh Yeaahh.  You read that correctly.

From the Examiner.com:

Stephen Chu, the United States’ energy secretary and Obama’s mastermind when it comes to climate change, made a strange proposal when talking to Nobel Laureates at London’s Nobel Symposium. Professor Chu suggested that all the world’s roofs should be painted white to reflect more of the sun’s rays back into space. The typical dark color that roofs have absorbs much more light than a light roof would. The energy secretary mentioned that white roofs would put a brake on global warming and ease electric bills in hot areas. Professor Chu said that the current research that the Berkeley Lab has conducted shows that light colored roofs could slow global warming down up to 11 years.

Um, that’s Kool…

So, painting our roofs will help.  Well, you know what; he isn’t the only scientist that says so.

From PlanetSave.com:

Hashem Akbari and Surabi Meno, along with Art Rosenfeld, California Energy Commissioner and Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, are so convinced that their idea will work, that they have proposed a “Cool World” plan that would use white roofs, and solar-reflective roofs of other colors, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help delay atmospheric heating effects.

So, painting our roofs is the answer, but you see a claim here that you haven’t seen before.  Watch the sleight of hand unfold when Chu speaks:

“If you look at all the buildings, and if you make the roofs white, and if you make the pavement more of a concrete type of color rather than a black type of color, and if you do that uniformly, that would be the equivalent of reducing the carbon emissions due to all the cars in the world by 11 years – just taking them off the road for 11 years,”

So, we paint our roofs white.  That reflects 75% of the energy from the sun back into space. (Well, not space, because you know, there is allot of atmosphere to go through before it gets to space and the refraction of light in the atmosphere happens when light/energy goes both ways, but I am no scientist so don’t listen to me)

Okay, let’s pretend all our roofs are white.  Bing.  Now if you didn’t catch the sleight of hand, let me rewind and play it back in slow motion:

“would be the equivalent of reducing the carbon emissions due to all the cars in the world by 11 years – just taking them off the road for 11 years”

Notice here.  He puts a time limit on what help that action will have.  so not only do you have to do this, but you will have to do so much more, and extra in 11 years.

You see folks.  This whole thing, the whole religion of global warming is about control.  They could come out with a magic Earth Thermostat tomorrow that was free, and that wouldn’t be enough of a fix.

Besides… the biggest scam placed upon Mankind of all time…  All they had to do is look at the Earth’s temperature over the last 4.6 billion years, see that the Earth is naturally warmer then it is now, then tell us that because of everything we normally do (the things we can’t stop doing, and therefore must be taxed), the Earth getting warm now, is all our fault.

Now, the scariest thing I’ve read all week… correction, the scariest thing I’ve read in a long time came from the examiner.com article too:

Regardless of the true impact white roofs will have, making an effort to do anything we can to protect the environment as more and more people live on it should be a priority.

So, whether or not it will actually help or hurt.  Making an effort of any kind and at any cost to “protect” the earth is a priority.

Its no wonder their already calling for the execution of skeptics.
